Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

There is the "disorder" side of it to live with still, though, even when you manage to find the silver lining in it. Where my PTSD exhibits paranoid symptoms is in my hypervigilance, those eyes I grew in the back of my head as little Muji the missionary kid in wartime abroad so I could dodge bullets. I can't stop my radar from scanning constantly, and it's tiresome.
But I do try to be kind and remind myself it kept little Muji alive.
These are times that forcing myself to get out and do something can help … Just a diversion
Grounding techniques can help.... for me it's my safe place which is my bedroom.... I bring myself to the present by naming out loud the things in my room.... my bed, my night table, my lamp, go through all of my art and linens, ornaments etc …. Name it all out loud and you feel yourself come into the present... It really does work
I suppose you can't ruminate while you're grounding yourself..... Big hug.....xo
