Overwhelmed and stressed (it's a long entry)

Help!
I'm looking for ways to cope with mean/bully type of people that you have to interact with on a semi permanent basis.
At the begining of the year I have to recertify for goverenment housing (HUD). They need any and every type of paperwork to recertify. Most of it, I thought, I had together and that it wouldnt be a big deal. BUT.... The a#$h**e that I need to "report" to or turn in all the paperwork to is finding reason after reason needing a different type of paper work from me from various places. Includeding SSDI award letter, Insurance, medicare, basically everything from the past 6 months that I have spent money on. So I've worked hard since I've been out of the hospital. I have to get invoices from all dr.'s and therapist to show them that I do go see dr,'s and therapists and that I've paid or that my insurance has paid. Apparently getting an invoice from the doctors is like pulling teeth. I have one invoice from my medical dr, I am close to him and his staff, printed it off on the spot when I went in for my follow up appointment Monday. I've called both my therapists staff and my psychiatrists staff several times that I needed this paper work now or I have a good chance of being kicked out. All of it has to be turned in by tuesday. I see my therapist again tomorrow and I saw my psychiatrist today. I asked that I need an invoice off all my visits for the last six months. They looked at me like I really was crazy. Before going in today to my psychiatrist I called their billing company asking for six months of invoices. I had to leave a message twice and never got a responce. Today when I went in I thought my dr would get his staff to get it together. NOPE! I told them that I only have till tuesday to get all of this done and turned in. I gave them the housing authority's fax number. I also gave my therapist's staff their fax number as well. As of 5pm the housing authority hadn't recived anything. I had the phone on speaker and my friend listened to her talk and My friend was getting so mad that she had to go to a different room so she wouldn't say somehting that would make things worse.
I was over paid through SSA and since Jan 2015 they are witholding $66 until the debt is gone. I now have to tell them, the housing authority WHY I was overpaid and prove it by finding a piece of paper that says why. I said that I didn't have that paper anymore. I got rid of it because I didn't think I needed anylonger because SSA knows what the are doing. I talked to someone from social security when this started in Jan of 2015 they confirmed that I actually did get over paid and why I had to pay them back. It was a personal financial issue and I'm dealing with it just fine. There was a mistake on both ends and I'm working to pay the debt off through our agreement like a normal adult. I shouldn't have to go into detail of why my SSDI is taking $66 out my check every month. So this is just one more piece of stress to add to the other pieces of stress that I have to deal with. I have to deal with all of this and I only have until tuesday. I feel like I'm doing everything I can and I'm still falling short no matter what I do.
The employes of this housing authority have really pushed my buttons and I fell apart. I don't do well or deal well with verbal "assult" although it was just authoritarian. They kept saying the same thing over and over again repeating the demands of my recertification. I kept talking hoping that they would listen to me and hopefully help the both of us get on the same page. but nope, they were adament that they were correct no matter what I had to say and that if I didn't have all this paper work in by tuesday that it is highly likely that I won't be able to recertify and be evicted.
I CANT DEAL WITH ALL THIS PRESSURE!
I'm stressed enough trying to get my life back together after being in the hospital. My anxiety is though the roof and I don't know how much more I can take. Also... My psychiatrist is weining me off of klonopin and another med for mood.
When I have to talk to the housing authority tomorrow, or any other time, I end up crying while they were talking. Its triggering all the verbal abuse I went through growing up and even as an adult. So please help me or give me ideas of 1. how to respond to them in a good way 2. how to not let them get to me and push my buttons and 3. how to not get mad and be mean to them. I'm rarely one to yell or raise my voice when I'm angry and I really really really can't show anger tomorrow or anyother day as well.
Ideas? I really don't want this to become more of a problem than it already is. idk what to do!?!?!?!
stressed!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
3. Get the invoices emailed to you or set up an era temporarily. Tell docs, I am going to expect this from you by, such and such. Short notice is best. People are lazy and often won't do it unless you say, look, if I don't get it by the end of the day, I'm gonna call YOU back. Find the person who's job it is, speak directly to them, ask their name, so they know they have to be accountable. Again, work on a short timeline and even do the dbt thing and explain that you are desperate to get this info and your housing is dependent on this one thing
4. Lastly, I am very much like you when it comes to these things and I go ptsd crazy. I am a work on progress. I can only tell u what has helped me. Like last week I went nuts on a computer guy that transferred me on middle of working on a problem. O had to apologize over and over when I cursed or raised my voice and then made sure to say that it wasn't personal and i didn't mean to take it out on this guy, I was just very frustrated. The guy was super nice and ended up trying to get me a refund.
I also gave myself a timeout after that and went for a walk to regroup.
I will say a prayer for you. Good luck and big hugs to you. Jp
Again, prayers will be with you.
Gentle validation, PPW. Support while you sort.
Give yourself some credit too, I HATE dealing with bureaucracy.
i am having to do this yearly thing with housing too.
one of the things i would need to do to have my medical out of pocket expenses calculated into the equation, is to have those out of pocket expenses documented. i haven't done it. i'm not feeling up to doing it. i'm skipping it this year - i skipped it last year. probably the year before.
i don't seem able to do that part. each year it is so - expletively - stressful, and i'm already so sick for whatever reasons, that i'm grateful to just get what paperwork is required other than that turned in.
are you able to skip that part and jsut, give up that part of the money into the equation? would it be worth it to skip this much of the stress for you?
it may be done differently where you are and my way of dealing with it won't work for you. skip what i've said if that is the case - but for just in case, i'll share what has worked for me. more hugs
lilly xo
I wish I could make a further recommendation, but you've covered all of the angles super responsibly without missing a beat. All that's left for me to do is just to validate that for you so you can go back and insist with more resolve that the missing paperwork be turned in for you immediately. You have more than done your due diligence here.
