That I would make a rather sucky ber driver.
...Why? I saw a snapping turtle get clipped by a car and rescued it. I have hyposmia right now and I could smell how awful frightened and injured snapping turtle smells.
Its' shell injury is rather bad, but it appears to just have had an adipose rupture, all legs and tall are working. Bleeding is not copious enough to cause bleedout, I don't think.
Iodiized and glopped everything in triple antibiotic ointment, then bandaged with tape and a maxi pad...hey, it's what I have.
Squished the fracture back together as best I could and used a bungee for compression.
Since the fridge might be TOO cold, I stuck it in my room, i have the a/c on...keeping it cool will probably lower any bleeding.
Note to self, I need gauze, narrow duck tape ( it REALLY sticks! ) corn starch ( poor woman's blood gel), iodine in a spray bottle, 3m vetbond ( wound glue )
I have an errand to run in the general direction of the wildlife rehab center, it's a ways.
ANYWAY...imagine springing a stinky, hissing, bleeding snapper on some poor ber passenger...or baby possums...or a concussed hawk...
Oh yeah...
P.s. feeling kinda good today.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

You go blue!!!
That said, I had to LOL on maxipad and duct tape. MacGyver mmeets Dr Doolittle! Go Blue!
Sanitary, expands to plug the wound and stem bleeding. not my idea, but a very good one.
Duck tape stays on my injuries, not so much regular medical tape.
The turtle ( still alive so far ) will need surgery...the wildlife rehabbers work with a local vet college program last time I heard. I handled her by getting her to chomp on something that wasn't my fingers.
What's an "Uber Driver?"
My lazy-web-search turned up an app(?) company out of California.
The app-a-lution is starting to remind me of the e-game boom. More sub-cults and schisms than a World Religion. . .
Nice to hear about your kindness with the turtle and the kittens. I once say a poor young turtle crossing the hwy and I stopped the traffic to pick it up and expedite the turtles slow crossing over the highway. A couple of cars once stopped, smiles...one looked bewildered at me
