Not able to express feelings
proudaunt
I wish I had the same skills as all of you. I am unable to express my feelings, worries and concerns in a written format. I get so much from everyone elses post which is great, just wish I could ask for help with my problems. Just venting
Another skill taken by my abuser.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

ENCORE! ENCORE!
With time, patients, and baby steps, you will be able to articulate yourself better.
Also, dont limit yourself to words. Sometimes art, music, dancing or something else makes sense more than a string of words.
For myself at least, I can talk circles all over my situation, but real expression doesnt come with words very well.
Dont give up.
I also think extreme emotioal situations sometimes defy language. In the moment you are just so stressed you can't come up with the words. How long it takes to put the parts together after and make meaning of it will vary from person to person.
Proudaunt, the fact that you read and participate here makes it probable that some of these things are falling into place for you.
it does take some time and baby steps, healing is proces and depends from person to person how it goes on
i hope and wish you to feel better
