ive been out of work for a year now. I left work because i was struggling with managing my fibro pain and fatigue doing a pyhiscal job. My anxiety levels were very high when i left. I was anxious id not be able to go in and cope with all i needed. Was i fit for the job. Not really i was exhausted constantly. My anxiety and lack of confidence in my self got too much when one day i snapped. I saw my doctor and told them i could not return to work the next day and that i would not cope. So i got signed off there and then. I went into work with my sick note for 3 months off and handed in my notice of 1 month which i didnt have to do as being signed off sick. It was a no brainer i wouldnt cope going back there.
anyway ive been off work a year now. Fibro still not much better, confidence at all time low and high expectations to get back into work.
I want to work but i have no confidence or motivation to get up and apply. Thought of interviews scare me shitless with anxiety. Id aviod preparing for interviews if i got one cos anxiety then id be even more anxious.
im bored at home, im at a point whete its making me more ill being out of work. I cant even find motivation to get voluntary work and thatl be no pressured work.
Why would anyone want me anyway. I suck.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Long story short you don't suck your capable of doing a job. But your suffering a lot of pain and negative thoughts.
Understandable. So why not give yourself a break?
I personally have gone through so much pain over the years that I'm just relieved to finally have created a little bubble to exist in, I do very little but I feel ok
Have you ever considered hiring yourself? Now's your chance to do your dream job. Work from home even.
But why not build structure into your day in other ways? Education is an easy option, or support groups and churches, gym,
What's so great about doing a repetitive job every week year after year having superficial relationships? Well I guess we are just used to it after all those years in school growing up.
A lot of people get ill when they lose structure in their week. Your not alone in that.
Maybe work part-time?
I don't know what you have to do in this situation, but maybe thinking outside the box is going to be the answer. After all work seems hard not working seems hard... So what else can you do with your time?
And even in your own great pain, you have always come to me in my need and offered your hugs and support. The world needs more people like you, if you ask me. Triple hugs and I hope this feeling too passes for you quickly into a better positive sense of yourself.~
Look to your local, country, state or federal workforce or labor commission. You may find the resources to 1) learn a new skill/trade etc that will more easily accommodate your physical limits and 2) find help in addressing your anxiety and 3) help with job finding/interviewing skills.
There are services. I tried to work with them to look at employement but something felt wrong. I ended up to anxious to even meet up with the woman.
Hope healing happens here.
I have no excuses now people around me think but they dont know the unpridictabilty of fibro symptoms from day to day and how trauma symptoms pop up unexpectedly to.
Much support
((((((Healing hugs)))))))
