Newest Community Leader - mujicaptsd
Hi Folks!
You may or may not know me, but I work here at DS. I'm very pleased to announce that mujicaptsd has agreed to become a Community Leader for the PTSD support group. We're certain that he'll make a wonderful Community Leader!
In case you don't know him, you can view his profile by clicking here:

Mujicaptsd will be helping members obtain and receive positive support, greeting new members, finding emerging trends, offering advice to members who post discussion topics, and also helping us locate clear cases of abuse and spam (which is quite rare for this group).
So let's give mujicaptsd a big hug and high-five, and congratulate him for taking on this role!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! :)

This is why I don't go to family functions. I felt very unsupported when I lost my husband in 2020. And my grandmother's 9 living children and hosts of grandchildren turned against me when I was managing my grandma's end of life care as her Power of Attorney. I was the administrator of the grandfather and grandmother's estates (an extremely thankless job that took over two years of my life!) When...

I am so proud of you for this honor. In my first days here at PTSD, you were one of the first respondents to my turmoil. And being of the same age I could identify with you because the of the early start in the abuse and the long lasting affects that we shared that brought us to a point where we choose to stand again everyday.
We both had to discard the family teachings of the practice of spiritual ways , that had been warped by our teachers and define what the real message was, and develop what we gleaned is the best of what belief is.
For all of us, our reasons are different in the ways we got here, but unified we are stronger than any one person alone. A lesson learned here with people like you.
One step, breathe take another and try, rest when needed and step again....As we progress in the smallest to the biggest goals. You have been an inspiration in starting over when the past leads us on a dead end road. Turn and try a new one.
Congratulations mi Amigo.
And my heart to you for taking this new step.
