I was diagnosed with PTSD 25 years ago after childhood trauma and then military non combat service. The Doctor that diagnosed me was helping me stay sober and above ground at the time. I have been clean and sober 28 years now. This man may have saved my life. He was a big help to me.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

My own psychotherapy started in earnest in the Army in 1974 in the base infirmary. I was also non-com. Communications. Combat PTSD was still being called "Shell Shock" but the Army shrinks were already making the correlations between civilian shell shock and GI shell shock. Have I met someone with similar experience?
