Hi.
I need some advice please. In July I end up having both Medicare and Medicaid. I change the PCP that I had (she was new to me from July last year) her staff was not nice and she the doctor hugs me and each time I asked her not to. BUT now I have a new PCP (someone recomend her to me).
This doctor does not listen to me. My first visit I noticed she is rolling her eyes at me when I am telling her about my diagonsis because I am a new to her and doubting what I was telling her. Now she is recommend PT for a problem that is not consistance and I have other illness that she does not know of because she would spend like 5-7 mins on the phone but not listen to me. What would you do?
I try finding a new PCP but so far I have to do a face to face as a first patient and I cannot at this time. I do not really trust my current PCP and has given her a lot of time already to show me that she is a good doctor. My medical case manger wants me to look for a doctor by myself yet the hand book is large very large. And my case manager with autism said the same thing. Both has large case load. My health surroage is so busy and cannot assist and my therapist wants my Medical case manger to assist me. I am overwhelm by this all and want to end and drop almost everything. I have a history of crainal neuritis of nerves from the brain andd from what I recall stress will makes it worst and I am feeling that effect now.Plus, I have neuropathy which could trigger the weakeness. I am noticing more and more that when I eat certain things my symopths get worst and that I try to tell my PCP but it is like talking to the wall. Any advice please?
No she is not. I will look into it. My medical Social worker want me to do it on my own. Thanks for you for info.
Writing helps. If they're not listening, sometimes seeing our experiences with their eyes works. It's tough, though, I know. It took me 12 years to find my VA doc.
I received a call this morning. I end up emailing the office manager and include my Health surrogate and my case manager for autism. I don't have an email for my medical case manager but both case manager speak to each other. But the phone call this morning was from the person about the Office manager and she had the Office manager on phone. I guess the office manager notified her head Personal of my difficult with Doctor base on my email. The head Personal offer for me to see their nurse practitioner which I agreed to. Office staff are cool but it was only the Doctor.
My case manager is happy with the fact that they are trying to resolve the problem. My health surrogate is happy that I am giving the nurse practitioner a try. I called my medical case manager and she is glad they trying but stated to have a backup Doctor in mind in case. I did inform her that I started to look but handbook has a lot of doctors in it and the one I wanted to transfer to will not take Insurance starting Jan but I will not stop. She is happy that I am looking.
Lastly, Secouya I am going to look into what you suggest. I wrote it down and will! Google for my area. Mujic it is so hard to find good doctors and I had one but Medicaid dropped her and now that I have both Medicare and Medicaid she left the work force temp because of virus. But she and I still keep in touch. I am waiting for her to answer me if she have any recommendations. For me I am just overwhelmed. Thanks you both, I appreciate both of you
