Muji asked me to let his wonderful friends here know that he's  had a crisis with his kidney disease and has been admitted to the hospital 


I know he'll miss everyone here and he could really use our prayers, good thoughts and hugs

oh Muj, i'm glad you got so quickly to hospital and found the pneumonia :( oh (((muj))) i am sending up prayers and hope you feel much better quickly too xo

IV antibiotics are the only thing that make being in the hospital worth it. Otherwise, this summer pneumonia would just drag on and on. I may get to go home tomorrow because the IV antibiotics got the fever to break.

Just needing to vent. Please no advice about telling my doc (did) calling a nurse (did a dozen times now) or making any comment implying I haven't attempted problem resolution for this. Phlebotomists keep coming to take blood at 4am, after which I can get no sleep, and they have caused an open wound on my arm that, since I'm diabetic, is going to take weeks to heal. But they refuse to put a bandage on it, and I'm lying here in my 3rd hour of waiting for a nurse to do it. One just took my vitals, promising to do it right after, and then ran away.

I teach death and dying classes to nursing students. Yesterday one told me I don't count as their teacher, though, because I'm not a "real" nursing teacher. She was standing in my room as her patient when she aid I wasn't "professional" enough to teach nursing.

Just needed to vent.

I remember having my 3rd and final c-section the nurses coming every four hours to check vitals. They checked blood glucose 2 hours later, so I was up every two hours. Wasn’t angry with the nurses following orders but I couldn’t sleep at all and they couldn’t group the checks at the same time. Ended up being discharged a day early because I said I felt great and couldn’t handle a third day caring for a newborn without sleep. Despise hospitals....

Hospital is no place to get rest or sleep. Stay vigilant about getting that wound dressed. Infections in hospitals run rampant. My only wish for you is to get well enough to get home. Gentle (((hugs))).
