My thought loops are still tying me into knots, but they seem to be easing. Seem to be. The phenom still feels like a journey through unadulterated madness. Hard to distinguish fact from delusion in this state.
I have long associated my thought loops with "pressure centers" inside my head. I have not ever found a doctor of any stripe who was willing to explore the possibility with me. The notion has always been dropped at, "It's possible." I admit to being a medical lightweight. I am seldom willing to do the waiting room time required to find innovative thinkers within the antiseptic mainstream.
Somewhere in 2013 I began, in earnest, to treat my thought loops like a purely physical phenomenon. When I catch my thoughts looping, I drop the words and begin sensory exploration of my cranium. I have yet to notice a thought loop without a pressure center. Over the course of this year's observation, I have acquired a visual image of a water balloon filling with water. The more the "water balloon" fills, the more painful the "pressure center" becomes. I am beginning to think this phenom is the source of my extreme light sensitivity, as well.
Reality check. Am I making sense or caught in yet another delusional episode?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
well done!
Doing so gives us the capacity to look at habits of mind without judging them as character defects. They're sometimes just sputtering sites in our brains.
In hospital chaplaincy on a neurosurgical unit in 2010 I saw up close how complex the brain is, and how it's a physical organ with defects and assets. We don't judge ourselves morally for how our kidneys work (speaking as someone with kidney disease), so at times isn't it appropriate to look at the brain objectively, too, without beating ourselves up? I think so.
There are those who believe we are born with the ability to think and communicate without words. Some even believe it may be a universal language. It has been theorated that my childhood mutism put my cognitive memory of learning human language into a more accessible position than folks who learned to talk at one or three years. Alas, my amnesia is a serious question mark in the theory.
While immersed in Spanish I was presented with the challenge of remembering that first language. This was in 2008 within my merry band of Ecuadorian over-thinkers. If any of my subsequent ifs are in alignment, it is a purely sensory language. Don't tell anybody in Ecuador. Officially, I still think it was a by-product of cerveza y ouzo.
Anyhoo... That had something to do with your visualization comment. I seem to have lost the thread. Losing threads is undeniably a by-product of the thought loops...
Thanks for the reality check, guys.
myselves we knew there is a actual biological trigger. either chemical or physical trigger. we noticed an occurance of stroke like symptoms happening when staying with a friend who dealt with similar issue in both him and me pertaining to the seizures.
i share this cause for us the onset of a seizure is interwoven between phycological and physical. one can lead to the other and vise-versa. that being said knowledge IS power. every step we take towards self awareness is glorious and should be celebrated!!!!
our thinking loops and mental state at the time affects also and shows through pain in some parts of body or pressure centers in head
extreme sensitivity to light is connected with migraines also and at any time with pressure centers in head which aren't migraines, when i have pressure in my head its not painful, with migraines it is very painful, either way pressure in head or migraine im light sensitive
you really make a lot of sense to me, from time to time I have migraines and until they pass i need to darken my room, make sure its quiet and no too loud sounds
there is imagery method to lessen the pain during the pressures or to lessen pressure in head when there is no pain,
build the image of white light on the top of your head, when image is clearly there take it into and through every part, organ of your body, feel the white light taking out every pain, pressure, take more time with the most affected part, breath in and out, starting with head down to your toes and take it out of your body
this is the way how my therapist couple years ago teached me, it is good for relaxation also and for rejuvenation, what i put here is basic description
for better one that you might try, there is many on youtube and might be different than this, some start from toes, some from head
you can also try to build sensation either cold or warm at the pressure center
one more image is to put your pressure or pain into imagery small box by your side, which you don't cover but you are aware of it, after that you can take yourself on any imagery pleasant journey which by time will relax your muscles and lessen any pressure
any method you try, need practice and within time it can be very helpful to release pressure centers in head
take out painful and pressure, dont make it the more painful, and you can try something else, but there is way to take out the painful and release pressure centers in head which can be very uncomfortable and making you unable to think clearly
i don't see it as delusional, i see it that it can be taken care of and make your thinking clear and when it gets clear then you can see better what is fact and what is delusion
hope i make some sense, this is how it works for me when i get into pressures
since I still have very good and im fortunate to still have good physical health I can say that any time that im not doing mentally good I do experience one of the common physical pains above or pressure in my head
when I experience physical pain or pressure than I know I need some extra work on my doing mentally better
So much world and so little time! South America is an amazing continent!
