Recent forum discussion about being able to give 80% of yourself has turned in to my high fiber chew of the day. Methinks it is important topic for me this week. Back in October I started a site survey project which looks like it will develop to the next step of remodeling two barns on the property with feelers going out on the potential of developing the property into a conservation research center. We think. It is still too early in the development for clear definition. For sure it has long term potentials worth developing.
By my cPTSD compulsions, I am feeling the urge to push all limits in order to make the most of the opportunity. My "Ought List" has more provisions than a National Budget. Herstorically, that much enthusiasm ends in a crash and burn from trying to do too much at once. Giving ^it^ my all eventually leaves me drained with nothing left to give.
Equally, the paralysis of procrastination can keep my best ideas from ever seeing the light of day.
Today finds me reviewing ways to moderate the process. Ways to give gently of myself so as to be able to go a distance productively without letting things stagnate into procrastination.
Thoughts welcome.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Point being, why not indulge the full "unlimited budget and unrealistic expectations" and write up a project management plan based on those... And then work *backwards*? That helps me. I get very happy with my highlighters. Yellow is "essential", and pink is "very optional" and green is "review after we re-do this with all the pink stuff out of it and the yellow stuff in it". Messy, but so is my brain.
Or, y'know, ignore me.
Supportive vibes. It's a long chew....
I wonder if a list of things to do would help moderate you? Break you project up into bite sized pieces and stretch them out so you do not over do it or under do it.
It will keep it on track and you too.
Good luck
So far, so good. Even with all the modulating breaks, it is unfolding smoothly so far.
Thanks for the support, guys.
