I really hate feeling the way I do, I am searching for something to help make me feel better but nothing seems to work. I am still grieving from losing my dad 3 years ago. I try putting up Christmas decorations, I am trying to find something positive to focus on. I've told a friend that I was feeling better inside, I ask myself this question are you really good inside or is it something you wished you had felt? I am not looking forward to the holidays because of the emotional stress that is happening in my life right now. I want to scream or just walk away where I do not know. One of the things that is bothering me is that it seems that the word 'doctor' is making me so mad that I do not trust any of them.
Sometime ago, two of them walked into my mother's hospital room and told her that she has cancer, when she asked them where was it, they said they did not know but they wanted to start her on chemo. I hated it when my mother asked her primary doctor (it was a female doctor during that time), questions about the cancer and about a test. The butt hole did not answer the question, instead she said that the test came back inconclusive. My mother asked what test was it, she did not reply. Then she said to my mother 'you probably would not see your next birthday, or see Christmas or Thanksgiving. So now when those holidays come around each year, it is like grieving over a person who just died, its horrible! I try my best to do normal around the house just so things could be normal but it is no use it seems. For the last four years, I've decorated our home and enjoyed seeing the guest compliment how beautiful the decorations are, and the fear my Mother has inside is traumatizing.
Another reason it is hard to believe a doctor especially the one my Mother has right now (he is a male doctor); I do not know what the real deal is. I've asked him about my mother's health, he said to me that she has nothing wrong with her body not even cancer but this past Tuesday November 7, 23, he spoke to her about Palitive care. She need them to come out to our home and give her an injection. This mess has my mind in a tails spin. That is just some of the stuff I am depressed about.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
as i read through you post, i found myself wondering if your current struggle with doctors is connected to the loss of your father. 3 years is not very long in the grieving process. just wondering. . . it remains yours to sort.
steadying support while you sort. share freely. share often.
Right now I am upset with how my Mother is being treated by doctors. For example one morning when she went to the ER, she went by ambulance and I was not allowed to ride in the ambulance and I do not own a car or drive because of seizures. When my mom was at the hospital, she said that while she was in the lobby waiting for her ride, three ladies (nurses) walked out to talk with her, after talking with her they called her a name and walked back towards the double doors of the ER. When my mom got home she was so upset and hurt. This past Tuesday, my Mother had an appointment to with her doctor (it was virtual:on computer). I thought the conversation was starting off in a positive way but it turned out to be bad. How the conversation turned out to be in a bad way, the doctor had said something that really flipped my mother out, since then it had put my mother in a bad depression and she took down the Christmas decoration that was put up. In the last two months, he told my mother that she did not need Palliative care or hospice. Well, this time he said something to my mother about Palliative care which put more fear into my mom because she and I had asked was numerous times is there anything severe wrong with my mother's health like cancer or anything like that, he said NO. She had nothing to worry about, we kept asking the question each time we talked with him.
See I can not deal with the mix up and not being honest from a doctor. With all that is going on, life here at home is crappy and there is no spirit of Christmas at all because of it.
That was why in all 3 of the hospitals in which I worked over the years, every one had a policy AGAINST allowing docs to give death notifications to patients. That was the chaplain's job and the chaplain's job only period. The reason why is really clear to see in what you had to hear from this doc.
Insensitive talk like that hurts an the hurt remains for a long time. So sorry you were so hurt by this doc. I can understand why you wouldn't be in the holiday spirit remembering that now. Sending you support.
I am so upset because all this stress and emotions have ruined our holidays,
I want to add that the doctor who told my mother that had to move away, I heard it was to Alaska. After moving there, I heard that she would have to do the doctor thing all over again as if she was never a doctor. I thought 'Good for her, itch with the letter B at the beginning. People like that should just shoot me. :(
