My tdoc has been pushing DBT. Basically he says it is a life long skill. OK...I am just soooo angry right now. Every day I am closer to thinking more seriously about offing myself. Medications aren't helping. Tdoc says that if I don't want to take medications I can do other things like eat right, exercise, DBT.
Welllllllllllllll if I could do that I wouldn't be seeing him would I?
DBT...lets see...it seems to be like it is all about pretending everything is all right..
I used to do that...did it before I started therapy and I was better then. Now everything is worse. The ups and downs are never ending.
Before someone says I don't want to do the hard work...you are damned right I don't want to do the hard work. I have done hard work all my life. I'm tired.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I'm sorry you're in such a bad place right now... Venting is another thing that can help so keep talking here and let it out...xo
For every one of us that openly posts that we feel this way -- just plain existentially damned exhausted -- I wonder how many more of us there are who feel that way, but ... haven't come out and said it.
I'm waiting for somebody to metaphorically hit me with the paddles ... defibrillate my spirit, mind, body, and soul.
Shock me back to life.
But they haven't come.
I hope they drop by your place, and soon.
That kind of therapy is what worked the most for me, too, like SunCloud said it did for her. Keep venting, like she said. We're here for you.
What the hell is his job???To sit there and look pretty????? To nod thoughtfully now and then???? Stroke his effing beard?
No ship I don't help myself!!! I don't know why I can't or chose to wallow in my own filth. Maybe cause it is all I have. It is MY pain, they are MY memories. It is MY food. I can eat what I want, I can drink what I want. I can hurt if I want. He can't take that.
If you aren't ready yet then so be it....You're doing the best you can for now... 2015 is a New Year with new beginnings....x
Your mileage may vary.
I get the tired. I feel like I'm just dragging my carcass round and round.
A new therapy I have found that works for me is Schema. You might not want to hear about it right now and you might not want to hear it at all, but if you do I can give you some information in a PM.
For me, when I find a coping skill and stick to it over and over it becomes natural and I don't have to pretend, it kicks in naturally.
I'm just so angry right now. DBT would tell me I shouldn't be angry. I don't understand it. I feel trapped again.
I can't keep doing this. I can't keep fighting it. I can't accept it.
You need to keep trying new things and keep fighting. You're fighting for your life; to find how you want to live. You can't give up but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try new things.
