The stories aren't good... they are what nightmares are made of.
I'm sorry that your family is still doing this, Muji. I can relate, for sure.
I told my one aunt if they didn't back off, I'd break her fu**ing nose just to shut her up.
Admittedly, I was at my beloved Polish grandma's funeral when they showed up to try to yammer at me some more.... my mom's bro was right there like, "WTH are you doing here?" (Go unk!)
That said, I've never broken a nose in my life, nor hit anyone with a fist but my own leg. big roar, tiny tiny claws, that's me. Why do you think I lend out my roar? Got plenty of it.
In a weird way, I think they want someone to confirm they're not as effed up as they are. In my fam at least. "See, if XYZ agrees and helps, it must be okay we're doing ABC!" Uh, no...
On a funny note--as in amusing---oh, ifyou'd seen that aunt's face! She went purple. "How dare you turn your back on your family!" And I said, "We haven't seen you since Dad died. Some family," and walked away. Oh, that happy moment of having the right comeback at the right time! I cherish that moment of roar....
