Living Dance - Metaphor Warning

"Yes, I could have skipped the pain, but I'd'a had to miss The Dance." ~Garth Brooks
I am lost in metaphor again. That happens to me allot. I have yet to have a writing collaborator (especially teachers) that didn't criticize my blatant mixing of metaphors. When I start metaphoring around, it takes a literal brick upside my head to bring me back to literal nuts and bolts of life. But. . . When ya gotta blow, ya gotta blow. Here she blows again. . .
In my literal day, this is morning three on the couch of my most beloved sister's junk room. This morning I got to feel productive in the heavy morning fog of her crowded house by picking up where we left off last night in painting her kitchen. Still not allot of interaction with the other 9 sibling branches of my estranged birth family. My most beloved sis is the only one of my 10 siblings I have had consistent contact with since the "Therapy Funeral" in 1977. Even the two dead brothers have branches which are still growing and reaching. I don't know many of the names, etc., on those branches, but I know they are there. Still no physical presence from my Texas family, but the text stream has been intense. At present, 6 of them are ? ? ? making noise ? ? ? about coming up but no shows yet. My own emotions about bringing them into the estranged family dynamics are wildly mixed.
The storm of four family deaths (two in-law, two estranged) continues. The winds through all branches of the family tree are gusting a range from blistering hot to icy cold. Oh, for the love of balance. . . Can we have a grinning spirtualist (happy medium) in between the extremes? I believe I am seeing the warm fuzzies of love every now and again, but am so busy hanging on in the gusting winds that I cannot be certain. By the time I form the question, whatever it was I saw is a million rapid heartbeats behind me.
The "Egg Shell Waltz" and "Egg Shell Sweeping" have been my most consistent comfort. I don't want The Dance of these relationships to be over. I just want to sweep the proverbial dance floor before we dance the next round. Literal eggshells breed allot of literal diseases. Proof unavailable, but I do believe the metaphorical eggshells do, as well.
It's okay if nobody understood a word of that. I just needed to say it. Thanks for the vent space.

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...
