keeping people from getting mad at you

Does anyone else here experience people triggering your ptsd flashbacks and then getting mad at you or upset at you, thus making things worse and even triggering multiple flashbacks due to their anger?
And like even when I explain it is ptsd, they still get mad and don't care.
Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with this issue and how to get people to understand exactly what I am going through?
I have tried to come up with a list of triggers, but it seems that some people will stoop so low as to purposely trigger me when they are upset at me.

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

That said, I work to control my reactions. Therapy, grounding, et cetera. There's no way for me to explain without people thinking I'm being dramatic or blah blah blah, since "that doesn't really happen" or "you're exaggerating".... So I just say, when it's outside my home, "I'm sorry, I have to go," and I get to a safer place (literally) and use the therapy techniques I've learned (grounding, brething, even PRN meds...).
Not much help, I know, but I can't make anyone understand what's happened, other than here and in therapy.
Soft sympathies. Breathe easy and slow, okay?
I just stop talking to them period.
One sister the one who was the least abusive growing up the least the other were criminally abusive.
When i brought up the subject of my father's abuse. She would keep saying "stop torturing yourself don't think about it anymore, don't think about the past anymore!"....
As if anyone has PTSD and intrusive thought about the past trauma because they are intentionally torturing themselves.
And the others were triggering me on purpose even daring me to hang myself. And these are women in the 50s.............
The only thing to do is to distance yourself from them NO CONTACT they will drive you crazy for real.
I use "forgiveness." I fore-give (expect ahead of time) that these benevolent souls can and will have this effect on me. Fore-warned is fore-armed. It is not even worth discussing "it" with them. I turn to my therapy network for support in coping with the phenomenon.
It is allot easier to say than do, but it is still allot easier than expecting a pig to soar like a hawk.
Gentle support while you find what works for you, Jedi. Should I be welcoming you to the forum? Are you a Ukulele Master, too?
One of my triggers is loud (arguing) voices which means that as a teenager I was especially prone to triggers and bullies thought it was funny to watch me cry.
I've had people push flashbacks but the best thing I found is to address it with them once and then leave them alone. If they can't respect your boundaries they do not respect you.
I am so sorry you are stuck dealing with all of this, I know it must be difficult.
