I remember a discussion in school about whether the incident happens first or if the body responds first. I was confident there would be no reaction without an incident then and still feel that logically that is the only way that works up until recently. Anyone ever get the shakes? Your whole body trembles and it's usually after something pretty emotional happens. One friend described it as the murder shakes, something a person of morals would experience after murdering someone. I remember rattling during and after when i aborted my baby and the nurse told my bf at the time that that was the meds but I knew different.
Well anyways I've been in a situation where there are no words exchanged between me and my stressors so I've been forced to listen to my body. I recall early last month while in the counsellors office with one of my stressors that I did that shake, I don't even remember what started it but it didn't stop until the session was done. Im not sure where I'm going with this all now but wanted to know what other people's body or intuition has done for them. Having ptsd has certainly ruined my intuition on some levels, my gut has told me there is trouble when there wasn't, but can you ignore body signals? Or could the stress of the whole general season be causing that and not the specific stressor itself? Floudering here a little, I'll stop with that.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Is this where you were trying to go with this?
Sorting with you. . .
she told me it was a good thing because it released toxic stuff from my body after i'd been able to talk about it.
some of the stuff i hadn't ever been able to say before.
i have had some emotional flashbacks and they don't connect to anything in my now. they are very confusing when they happen. it seems like i am feeling someone else's extreme emotions or something like that.
These days tremors are high on my strictly personal list of psycho nag flags which call for me to drop everything and begin immediate therapy work. They are a sign that I am on the brink of going, "Boom."

It may validate what you're saying, jen.
In other really emotional positive and negative events...the same.
I've never murdered anyone, but once a bicyclist pulled right in front of me and stopped (apparently wanting to turn left). I knocked him off of his bike seat, but didn't injure him or his bike (that I know of). He road off and I sat in the street until other cars honked at me. I was still shaking an hour later...for a second I really did think that I had killed him. (Although it was his fault.)
I also found even seeing a female therapist that it was highly threatening to me. In the beginning she'd walk around the round alot, I text her telling her to just sit down. I think from what she said she interpreted that as controlling so fought my control by doing it more the next season except this time she stood over me
This completely spazzed me out I stopped breathing and I get froze. She then sat a foot away from me seeing she had freaked me out then sat away from me. After a while I breathed again had tears and shook. She never did walk around the room again
But I should have seen it as very ominous, her instinctive reaction to hearing she was causing me pain and my asking her to stop it was to do it loads more.
She eventually triggered such immense pain for me that she drove me psychotic
I guess I only put up with her behaviour because I thought it was unreasonable of me to have my feelings in reaction to her doing something that was under her control. I assumed she was an expert and she was trying to change my reactions or remove the button by pressing it all the time. I guess tbh I just knew I was in the shit and that I had to get strong enough to survive the ending of her "help" and all other professional help. As soon as I was strong enough I finished that therapy but boy did I suffer bad in doing it and leaving it. The psychosis caused by her shit therapy is still with me ten years on. Luckily the nhs after five years of permanent deeply unconscious distress did give me another dose of therapy that undid the seemingly permanent I was in.
I guess what I'm trying to say is... Are you sharing difficult things that make you shake from the relief if letting the stress reaction go
Or did your therapist push your buttons?
If your counsellor is regularly pushing your buttons even if you don't think you should be having upset feelings in reaction to it, and want to have a change in your reaction.
I suggest leaving asap.
I was told by her that therapy would avoid talking about my traumas until I had learnt to cope with my distress.
Yet all she did was traumatise me multiple times a week
