Hey there, I was hesitant on joining this group because I wasn't diagnosed with PTSD due to me not coming forward about the things that happened to me. I'm hoping that by sharing my experience I can find support with my every day struggles as well as offer a helping hand to those also in need. I am forced to face my abuser every day, and not a day goes by where the events don't present themselves in my memory and make me relive the moments I felt so helpless. I am hoping by reaching out or just expressing myself, I can learn to cope.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It's good ur able to share ur feelings and experiences here. Having an outlet and being able to connect with others who understand can be helpful.
Much like you, I didn't "come forward" and I finally did one day, almost a year later, and my mom (who I told) said some words, belittling , and I'll never forget them. Sadly.
Having to face your abuser daily is absolutely awful, I'm so so sorry you go through that on a daily basis. Believe it or not, I relate to this very much. I had a similar experience, for several years.
If you need a shoulder to lean on, and you don't feel like it's something you want to share with the world (in the DailyStrength world) you can message me, anytime. Even if you just need to talk, any subject , I'm here. You're not alone.
Well, i should mention, I often read my messages outloud, especilly at night, to make things im reading make more sense to me, you know the brain gets foggy sometimes, so i really should say me and my little dog are here for you. She listens to what I read. She's goofy like that.
❤ hugs!
I'm glad that you're here......xo
