I don't know if I am supposed to introduce myself or not so I am going to jump right in. I see my therapist tommarow and I am sort of scared because my PTSD has been in overdrive lately to the point I feel extremely paranoid about everything, I'm convinced there is NO SAFETY and that the higher powers that be could smite me at any givin time. This is a whole new realm for me that I have not experienced before. Normally my PTSD might require me to tripple check locked doors, sleep with my phone and I have extreme sound sensitivity and sounds don't blend when its at its worse. So I am very scared that something ealse might me going on. My anxiety is off the charts even with my 2 mg of clonipin a day, I still catch myself holding my breath and having to remind myself to breath. I saw my med doc the other day but I couldn't get a whole lot of this out. I did tell her that I am having issues with the homework my therapist has giving to me over making a safe place but that is about as far as I got. I don't really feel depressed though, just mostly on guard waiting for something or someone to kill me off and be done with it, and scared shitless most days. I work tonight till seven and my appointment is at 8 so hopefully Tiggy (therapist) will have some good ideas cuz right now I would just prefer to hide away in my house forever with a ton of guns and ammo, which I am aware is not the most healthy idea and no I won't do it. Well I would but I am afraid I would shoot Jason/Partner on accident. Anyway thanks for listling.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

My own hyper-vigilance tends to self-perpetuate. Once it starts into motion, it takes on a snow-ball effect that keeps getting bigger and more urgent as it rolls. I'm more of a flier than a fighter, so my own hyper-vigilance urges me to disappear more often than it calls me to lay in weapons and survival supplies, but it is equally destructive.
I hope your therapist does have suggestions to deal with ^it^. I need a whole arsenal of therapy exercises to manage mine. Peer support is one of the tools I use. This forum is one of my sources of peer support.
Welcome aboard. Hope you find healing companionship here.
@Simpsons...glad to see you back. I was worrying about you.
Good for you to change the name from safe place to a Happy Place of your Own, sometimes it's these changes of how I look at things that help me.
Sorry about your hypervigilance, it's something I know all too well. Hope you find a way to relax a bit.
