For the last two weeks, despite having fun and despite no recognizable incident having triggered me, I've had insomnia. I'm rather fried from lack of sleep now after 14 days or so without enough sleep, and it's just after supper time, too early to go to bed without throwing my sleep schedule off.
I'm trying to stay awake for a couple more hours so that then I'll get extra rest but on a normal schedule. It's a little tough staying awake, though, and I'm so sleepy I've got the shakes a little bit and I've got a couple of light muscle cramps. PTSD, huh? Anybody else have unexplained insomnia?

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Last year was a very bad year because of all that went on so I wasn't here very often, sleeping was a when or if in my living.
I do inane tv shows like you have mentioned before because absolute quiet is it's own trigger for me.
I hope you get your sleep.
From my experience with patients, not falling asleep is the brain thinking too much, stress. I know you said you haven't felt stress, but sometimes the subconscious is overworking?
Yoga seems to settle that and has a long lasting effect...your probably laughing at that suggestion as most men do :)
waking up early (2, 3 or 4pm) is often low serotonin
I'm glad that you were able to have a sleep in..... I'm really careful about my caffeine intake because of this.....xo
By the end, I'm scraping mashed groceries up off of the floor and still not making it out the door.
Fun, fun, fun in the sun (sarc)
The irony...is that as a kid, sleep was my safe place. And as an adult, it's reversed.
