in life, im just beginning to work with my mom at house cleaning, i still live with my parents, i dont have my permit, and im not baptized .i feel so behind, im almost 19 and i should have more responsibility besides what i have already. Im just so emotionally torn in so many directions im incapable of living by myself. I ordered a book to help me with social phobia and the fear of driving, but its taking forever for it to arrive so i feel like im stuck where im at. I have two friends and a sister who live with their mom, they are baptized, work, have their license. I think they have achieved alot even though they still live at home because their mom cant live my herself, shes obese and has diabetes 2 i think, so she needs all the help she can get. I guess i have a reason why i have to live with my parents still. I just feel like i need to do more with my life, i mean i didnt even graduate HS, at some point im going to need to get my GED, all my adult friends keep asking me about it and i just want them to shut up and leave me be.
I wish i was baptized add dedicated to Jehovah God while working with my mom and driving occasionally and living at my own place. Even if its an apartment, at least ill have my own place and responsibilities.
Does anyone else feel this way? Like they should be doing more with their life at a young age? It bothers me so much. I cant do regular jobs like everyone else because of my acute anxiety disorder thats becoming more frequent that need be, as if i need it at all in the first place.
But if i live by myself i either have to work with my mom or do on disability. Because i just cant handle daily life, not even going to the cashier by myself and paying for things! My parents have to do it for me and i get a mini panic attack just standing there!

Are you receiving counselling? You could ask a therapist to help you with goal setting and even a gratitude list. Its hard to start to change things sometimes but you may surprise yourself once you do. Good luck and hugs

I go back to a new therapist in a week.

Hun just close your eyes at each task and take it one thing at a time, one hour at a time if you have to. Don't worry about what is normal or what others think. Not entirely on that, if your parents are positive and not creating a negative environment then their opinions can count....the same thing goes for friends, you may have to get rid of a few...put them at arms length, not confide as often,,,you want positive people around you...not toxic. Set one goal a day even if it is as small as making your bed, set the goal and do it and make it just a lil harder each day. I am on disability...at 22...(35now)but I tried like hell first. And I think if you decide to go that round in the end you need to be able to say to yourself...I tried as hard as I could....msg me if ya wanna talk more

Because i want to dedicate my life to Jehovah God, first i need to do it through prayer, and then personal study more and read the Bible daily and then be qualified for it by answering questions and getting then right. Most of my friends are already baptized and theyre younger than me. I just dont want to wait until its too late, i dont want to procrastinate.

I think a Christian counselor is a great idea. Also, what are you looking for in baptism. I believe it is a Sacrament by which God produces saving faith in you through the power of the Word and His Spirit. If you believe that too, why wait? Faith can be yours today.
