I'm trying to relax and not worry about what's going to happen and focus on the here and now but it's just not working. I have made a decision though. If we are placed in the homeless shelter, I'm sending my kids to my sister until the state places us in a home. I can't protect them in a homeless shelter. I feel like I'm losing everything! If they place us in Utah County then I have to get rid of all of my pets. If they place us in Heber or Nephi then I have the possibility of keeping my pets but I'll lose the boys, my therapist, my psychiatrist, all of my friends, and all of my support. I'm trying to remember that this isn't happening over night but the thought of all my losses is just heart wrenching! If we go to a homeless shelter then I'm going to lose my kids as well, even if it is just temporary. I don't want to face all of this loss. It's breaking my heart and all I can think is that my parents are abandoning us and leaving us to our fate while they walk away. Together they have 7 cars and I asked for one of them and my dad flat out refused. I know nothing about the busing system and the thought of having to learn by trial and error freaks me out and sends my anxiety right through the roof. I just don't know what to do or how to cope. Anyone have any clue as to how to do this??

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Continued support while you work it through.
Do you have a church or maybe other family members who could help you financially? To prevent ever ending up in that sort of situation that is what my family did, ask all our friends and family for money, go to churches and their charities (any charity you could think of even outside of church could be really helpful) sometimes priests or ministers will provide money, other times they will provide things like food or other necessary items which could help you in the long run to save money, instead of spending on that. I understand if you do have no other family or friends, but anyone or any place that you see as a potential opportunity to get help I think you should take advantage of. Also I understand that your situation is not exactly the same as mine used to be, so I am only offering suggestions.
Emotionally, you know that if you need any help you can come to us for the time being. You'll figure the rest out as you go along, okay? I know it's scary. But, there are good people out there in the world. Find those people. Find the people who can help you. *hugs* Stay strong.
BIG HUGS AND STRENGTH!!!

i also think, that because you are disabled with children, that this puts you at the top of that list - and that they will put you in a hotel with the kids if there are no other available housing options for you - but check into that with your local hud office. you probably have a city housing authority AND a county housing authority.
since you already LIVE in the city you want to stay in, i think, i would go to the city housing authority.
most of the time, you have to already live in the city to be allowed to get housing in that city - you already live there, so you have that. at least, i think you do??? you might want to live in the larger city so you have access to all the services available - but cross that bridge when you come to it. (you may not have that restriction on the city there - they have it in my city because it is a beach town and people want to live here)
i do not believe they are going to let you go homeless - it is important to talk to them right away and get some paperwork filled out. they will help you with all of this paperwork so don't let that upset you, k?
it is a pain in the neck, it is. but it is worth it and you and the kids will be ok.
i believe you will be so much better. so much less... change out of nowhere all the time. just you and your kids and your daily routines.
