How am I supposed to get better?

skii
How am I supposed to get better if not even 1 person comments on a post?! (Depression Support Group)
Im not greedy or an attention whore I'm just trying to get better like everyone else.
I've been feeling ignored and really just overall upset. Especially after ending an abusive relationship and being taunted by his father.
What should I do?! My patience has taken an absolute all time low with that group.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
You have to remember that everyone here is just like you, we're all hurting. There are no paid leaders (even the CLs...especially the CLs).
I've learned that I actually get more "help" from what I write to support others, than what gets written to me. (And maybe that's why I've stuck around here so long...) And often when I read over and over and over, about other people going through the same sorts of things that I have...I feel less alone, less stigmatized, and...well it helps...in a way that nothing else really does...at least for me...
In general, people who respond to a lot of other posts, get more responses to their own. But I'd have to say, that I probably reply to 4-5-6 times more posts, than I get in response to my own. As many people log on here and only post a few times, and never stick around long enough to "repay" the favor...that's just how it goes... You'll usually see that CL posts get lots of replies...that's a big part of why they get so many.
I KNOW that it's HARD (sometimes downright near impossible) to do that when someone is deep in depression...but it's just how it goes.
Heartfelt hugs, Patti

Abusive relationship removal is hard enough. Why is the father of what's his name taunting you?
"You were never good enough for...." or "You know..... needs you." or somewhere in between. Either way he has no right in the picture. Have you needed to file a restraining order on the......? Even if you didn't, you can file one on the Dad.
Hugs and support.

"Your a horrific person for leaving him and you know it"
"Your still terrible no matter how much you accomplish"
"You know he needed you so that makes you so much more terrible"
"Did you leave him to become a better harlet?"
"Freak" (walking past me)
(This was just today unlike the last 4 days of harrowing comments)
And I'm not sure if it's reasonable to put on a restraining order just yet.
Unless you think otherwise.....
He's making excuses for how he made his son.
Oh girl, you dodged a nuclear bomb with that one! Seriously, every time you go out for a drink (even a glass of water), lift a glass and toast to your escape.
How does his father have contact with you? In person? Text? Is this a small town?
If he's not someone that you run into on a regular basis, then I would just block him on all social media.
If it's a small town, I'd ignore, ignore, ignore. He should eventually get tired and move on, but you have to be meticulous about NEVER responding back to him, not even to say "stop". If you do ever feel the need to say stop, I'd get a lawyer to draft a letter with NO threats in it, or statements of what you'll do if he doesn't stop. Just a simple "Cease and desist" letter. Then ignore (while recording all of his responses).
There's a book called "A Gift of Fear" by Gavin DeBecker that gives great advice. He's drafted security for the Supreme Count, so he's no novice. His opinion is generally not to jump to a restraining order too fast.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you were still in high school.
This really IS crazy behavior for a parent.
Have you tried the break ups and divorce group, btw? When I had a horrible break up 7 yrs ago (after a unhealthy long term relationship) that group was really helpful. But I noticed many people have left this site when it was updated last year so don't be surprised if some groups are ghost towns. I think it still needs a little time to pick up again.
