Jay's podcasts are really good. I watch them on YouTube for free. Today, I watched his video about motivation. In fact, I've been watching a few videos on this subject. Jay gave us an assignment to complete the following sentence: I am stuck because? I don't describe myself as stuck, but to finish the sentence, I would say that I am stuck because I am tired. Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it. Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.

Take 5 minutes to just be happy about...something.
For me...it's a cup of tea. (I like coffee too, but when it comes to just "joy"...it's tea.) I'll just hold my cup and wonder at it. The taste, the warmth. The flavors. If I've added lemon, honey or mint. Heck the weight of the tea on my tongue.
I don't think that I ever thought of it before, but I guess you could call it a sort of mindfulness exercise with tea.
Myself, I'm mostly alone. But I'm a very happy alone person. Peace is a wonderful wonderful thing.
In any case, if you can't manage 5 minutes...try 1. All the crap in the world will still be waiting outside your window.
For what little it's worth, that's what I do,
Wishing you the best, Patti
I hope you are feeling a bit better today.
