Home wifi down 2 days so using coffee shop wifi

Hi, y'all.  My home wifi has been out for 2 days so I've been going downtown and using coffee shop wifi to log on to DSPTSD.  In case there's a lag in replies that's a little longer than usual, just wanted folks to know it's just tech issues.  Hopefully the home wifi will be back online soon.

i miss internet cafes. as of 2008 when i returned from ecuador, south americans were kicking our tech asses because of internet cafes. few of them believed me when i told them that, but those internet cafe networks tended to have fewer problem than the us corporate networks i've worked in, outdated equipment and all.

i wonder often about the mental health diffs of breaking isolation to visit an internet cafe versus the increased isolation of using home wifi and/or cell phones. just wondering. . .

This morning my landlady and I found out what the source of the wifi cutting out has been. A new neighbor who just moved to rent the place next door was been unplugging the router every night. When I mentioned to him that he might not want to do that, he asked why we couldn't turn the wifi off every night.

Huh?

My landlady set him straight: no touching the router. Other people need it.

He seemed like such a nice guy when he moved in....

    I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying.  I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there.  I think that I will start writing in it again.  It's so therapeutic.

    Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job.  It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it.  Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown.  There was a full length mirror in the changing room.  I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like.  It was a reality check.
