I have been taking brand-name Wellbutrin -- an antidepressant -- for about ten years. I have had very good results. But for some unknown reason, the Sierra Prescription Drug Program will no longer let me have this medicine.
My psychiatrist has suggested I try a new 24-hour patch named EMSAM. I am not to keen on this idea because I have allergic reactions to several medications, which usually cause me to have to go to an ER.
I'd like to know if anyone has used EMSAM, and, if so, how has it worked for them, as well as if they have experienced any adverse side effects?

You know, I bet there are some older tricyclic drugs that are now generics that you can try. Wellbutrim is a tricyclic drug - it effects multiple chemicals in the brain. Amitryptaline does that as well. Buspar is supposed to regulate seratonin by turning on and off your receptors. It supposed to keep it in balance instead of keeping your synapses flooded with the stuff.
