Posting both my update from this morning and afternoon! Been a great day! Despite my cold! Discharge THURSDAY!!!!!

So Last Monday had been the last time i was able to stand easily without needing much help or walk. Well I asked to work with therapy on Saturday, you normally get the weekend off unless you need the extra PT or OT So they said of course but only would get half hour ended up getting an hour, someone else wasent able to do it that day. I have a very bad UTI and its a rare bacteria, by Saturday the iv antibiotics had kicked in and felt a lot better. Well i walked 127 feet!!!!!!! Plus worked on other things. Well I had OT this morning and all weekend needed no help getting up to transfer to the commode or wheel chair just a nurse there in case, also would wander the halls in my wheel chair which works on arm muscles. This morning i walked first 159 feet!!!!!!! They just wanted me to walk across the rehab gym but i just kept going so they opened the door to the hall and said go as far as able LOL Well then i rested about 5 minutes in the wheel chair and walked 196 feet back to the gym around the other hall to the other entrance!!!!!! Then i practiced in my first PT session going up a 5 1/2 inch step on a platform, i did i think 6 in sets of 2 the last set was harder but i did not have help just had two people there in case! I am being discharged at 5pm on Thursday after i finish my iv meds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My bladder has also retrained itself except when im sleeping now so thats  great! 

Another update! In PT just now i walked 236 feet at one time, im very steady with the walker, walked over 500 feet today and my PT thinks its close to 600 will let me know tomorrow because i had OT where i walked then two PT sessions! I am going home Thursday! I cant wait to see my furbabies itll be 6 weeks about by the time i see them, you know all 8 dogs will go nuts and our cat! Moms 5 dogs plus our 3 dogs LOL all the furry babies are at moms! I am so excited!
