Today I was sitting in my garden, near the water fountain when my grown son came to sit with me. He didn't seem to have anything to say, so I started babbling about how the garden, with the running water sounds, seemed to be one of the best places available to find my, "Zen Zone."

He listened politely until I fell silent, then respectfully asked, "Why is zenophobia not the fear of Buddhists?"

Well, Buddhism and nationality has always been a mystery to me. I mean, how could it be born in India, then all but die out there but flourish all over the rest of Asia?

Yeah, the nerdy things I think of, too.

Buddhism didn't die a natural death in India, Muji. The Brahmins fought violently to get rid of it.
