Find support with others who have gone through a traumatic experience. Whether you have chronic or acute PTSD, we are here for you.
SunCloudJD's practice of posting day by day check ins lately has really helped me, so today I'm following her lead to be the one to post it. It's Friday, so I figure it could be a chance to review recovery for the week. It is for me, anyway, because y'all know that I struggled this week with the Chronic Kidney Disease I have from a bad pdoc's hearing about my PTSD nightmares and giving me too much Seroquel for my body to take.
The CKD causes nerve damage that's more painful even than the burns I suffered when my family's car was hit by a bomb when I was 9 and was growing up abroad in a war zone as a missionary kid. It's put me in a wheel chair three times this month. This foot pain is a new experience to cope with in my PTSD recovery now. I'm thankful for the support y'all gave me to live through it this week. Blessings to you all.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I only had one ptsd nightmare this last week and I had taken prazosin. They are fewer and farther between these days. I am locked inside to stay out of the heat until I finish heart treatment. I can feel how weak I am after just now going out at 9pm. It is still 100 degrees y'all!!
At least I was able to pick up a partial refill for pain meds i've been out of and my packages, and oh, i needed, NEEDED a mcdonalds chocolate milkshake. That should help my depression ;) tgif y'all
i'm risking the sin of pride over how well i seem to be managing my recent flashback psychosis. methinks there has been progress on how deeply i need to mask symptoms for hubby's sake. after 43 years together, hiding my emotions from him is easier said than done but his macho **fix it** reflexes are counterproductive in the extreme. i still can't share the gory details with him --especially not when he is the star of the flashback-- but he is making progress in leaving his proverbial screwdrivers in his toolbox and letting me trust my therapy network.

I’m here Saturday morning too. I had to get up because I was having bad dreams/nightmares that I had to get up & get away from. Now I’m just having a coffee watching my cat’s shenanigans, he’s running around like a crazy man & making me laugh … he’s actually a pretty funny cat. it’s almost like he knows he’s being funny when he’s making me laugh or something :)
My whole body feels stiff from the nightmares & tough week, so I will try to find ways to relax it somehow. I’m so glad I don’t have any appointments today or tomorrow
Big hugs to everyone <3
Saturday morning here too.
Fainted twice this morning, once heard a crunch in my head.
Now working on getting in my two litres of fluid in and i just took my supplements.
