For those who have been wondering about my brief disappearance, I say thank you for keeping me in my mind.
Many do not know but I have been through a whirlwind of events that I can not sum up completely. Good news(yes, finally): I have been able to sleep through naps. It has taken so much effort to have a restful nap and I did so just yesterday. Also, I have been quite busy on taking an exam for the 911 operator position. I passed the exam and now I have to wait for their call on interviews and background checks, investigations, etc.
Also, I have been spending a lot more time with my nephews and niece lately, which has brought back a lot of excitement. Spending time with ppl that truly matter and take up my head space.Also, I have become more active in my Auxiliary Police work and I can say it's been more than wonderful. I Love it!
On the flip side, yesterday was the supposed court date. It was adjourned til the next court date. Good news is that now it will be set on a calendar date, versus the judge's ability to have their own date. Both sides of the court were ready to present, but time was filled up and space was quite limited. My attorney and I have been right on point with everything and we just laughed. We laughed, knowing something like this would happen but we both agreed that it has been a nightmare for both US, individually and legally.
My body has taken quite the toll on me. Physically, I feel spent and emotionally, I feel like a flat tire. It has dragged on and it has made me not to want to see another day, not in terms of dying but in terms of what I can handle. Mentally, my brain has become a jigsaw puzzle and concentration has become difficult. My digestive system has been in turmoil and my shoulders are very heavy. I pray that I can continue fighting the good fight and move forward, because I can not take anymore bad news.
God was kind enough to grant me a week's worth of vacation and it was much fun as it was relaxing. Overall, it was a necessary tool to help me decompress and get away. Flip side were the conversations I had with my aunt about my brother but, nonetheless, it was great.
My mind has not been able to really put together the pieces of all these events, but all in its time and place.

I can't wait to here about the scenery of your trip. I love taking the vicarious mind trip, visualizing places I have never seen. But can imagine with words given.

I'm also "very proud" that you're trying for the dispatcher job !
Without trying to be negative (more like: have you thought about ......?), I don't know if I could do that job.
For me, it could be shift after shift of triggers.
Are you okay with/have you thought about/do you have a plan for ... that part of it ??
I'm glad you have SOME family that makes you smile, instead of making you crazy :-) The little ones can be tons of fun !
