I am triggering on lights again. Big surprise, huh? In particular, my uphill neighbor is burning halogen bulbs 24/7 which glare and shadow straight into my living room window, like a set of monster eyes in the patio door.
Just trying to get it neatly inventoried before it morphs into a kiddie porn director... It is only suburban normalcy... It is only there...
Thanks for listening.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
gentle cyber-hugs.
The lights were still there but no longer as intrusive.
People w/ outward directed lights aren't getting the blast from them, but have responsibility to not have the light be intrusive.
Best of luck w/ this.
Not all light lovers are pedophiles... I need to get that through my PTSD stricken head... I am safe... No kiddie porn producers here...
Thanks for the support, guys.
Onward through the strobing light... I can do this... Please, god???
Something that creeps me out is when those extra powerful halogen headlights show up at night behind me. I was in 6 years of war, and a couple of times I got followed by a military patrol, once stopped and tortured by the soldiers in one.
In my head I know they're just regular people in cars behind me with those extra bright lights shining on me in my car through my own car's back window. But they trigger me. To me those kind of headlights appear behind me and it feels like an alien space ship has zoomed up behind me or something.
Which is appropriate, because when I was a kid during the 6 years I grew up in war our code name among us kids for soldiers invading our neighborhood was "martians." We called them martians because they wore green like green martian men, they alienated us, and they had no humanity.
You are safe, I know and I know you know that. But I hope you feel safe again soon.
Just gotta keep reminding myself that it is only bad taste in ineffective security. It is no more threat than mosquitoes and ticks. Daddy isn't here. Not all bright lights are child pornography sets in action. It is just another irritation. It is only a trigger.
I WILL overcome.
