I have new rain barrels. I was a real good girl and stayed out of the way while the menfolk did their honey do.
It was a while before it rained, but unfeminine observation told me the off center spout created quite allot of splash when we finally did get enough rain to test the system while the menfolk were busy with their busy lives. After the rain, I tried to center the spout. It came off in my hand.
Knowledge wise, fixing a gutter spout is no biggie for a certified welder and veteran tin bender (AC duct installer.) Redoing a honey do requires more political talent than this lady nut job has ever possessed.
Chances of rain today. I hate wasting good water more than I fear hurting my honey's feelings. I did the inventory to see if the necessary tools were still un-borrowed, got out my ladder and headed to the misbehaving spout.
As I was setting up the ladder I started flashing to all the times I have experienced surprise rescues from knights in shining armor armed with good intentions. The gnarliest one was when we were lifting a 50 foot length of iron pipe to the roof of a 3 story building. A multiple hand balancing act... As the pipe hung between the 2nd and 3rd floors, a shining knight jumped out from behind me and rescued the entire crew from the delicate balance. The pipe began swinging with 50 foot of force.
We survived.
I got through the flashback sequence and got today's job done.
YAY ME!!! May go order up my own trophy this morning.
Just sharing.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
