You don't have to expose yourself completely...right away. But just getting a little bit off your chest at a time...WILL help a lot. *hugs* Take care of yourself sweetie. I'm sorry that happened to you. *hugs*
You're on a much more promising road then I am. Keep it up. I'm sorry to hear that there seems to be nobody to listen. However, sometimes we find friends in the most unlikely of people.
One of my closest friends, is someone I would never have considered a friend before. She considers me her security blanket. I know there's someone who's got to be out there for you. Hang in there....there are always people to listen to you. *hugs*
I wonder, if, remembering that it was in the past and not the present will help you feel better. It's not going on now...it happened then. I wonder if that will help. Or if you try to associate new things with those memories...and hold onto the "new" memories tighter then the old ones. Just a thought.
My therapist keeps telling me that ... "When you get to the point when you no longer feel the need to discuss these issues/memories/ etc over and over again ... then you'll know you've finally gotten to a point where you've processed everything your conscious and sub-conscious mind need to in order to move on and progress"
Keep talking and keep seeking out the support and encouragement you have here amongst people who understand and will listen ... keep talking, it's ok because anyone who's been "there" themselves and can empathize with what you're going through will listen, not judge you and will continue to support and encourage you.
We're thinking of you and hope that you're safe and well, wishing you peace and comfort: Hivin
