Find support with others who have gone through a traumatic experience. Whether you have chronic or acute PTSD, we are here for you.
So this is my first time trying a support group.
My Story
On Thursday, May 12th at about 8 something in the morning, i was on my way to work. beings it was so early it was still wet from were it rained the night before. i came around a sharp turn and hit a mud patch and started to fishtail. i tried not to over correct but then my car started to teeter towards the trees (i was on backroads) and thats when i grabed the wheel and overcorrected. i hit a tree which sent the car spinning then it started rolling. and sometime during it rolling i was ejected from my door. my boyfriend was in the car as well but luckly he was asleep so he didnt tense up and get too hurt ( just a few cuts and a concussion. was released the same day) i on the other hand was in the hospital for 5 weeks. to make a very long story slightly shorter. i messed my foot up pretty bad. got caught under the pedals when i was ejected and cut all 3 arteries and pulled most of the skin up. by the time the doctors finished cleaning it and getting the dead skin, there was really no foot to save.
And so thats the story on how i became a below knee amputee and got PTSD.

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

... observed a solar eclipse.

For future reference, we here use TW as "Trigger Warning" if we're going to be graphic so people can avoid the post or go in "prepared"; FF equals "feeling fragile"; and PNA is "please no advice", since for us, advice can seem like criticism when we've endured a lot of that.
My PTSD is from 17 years of abuse as a kid (birth till I got out) and then medical trauma about five years ago. I didn't lose a limb, but I have severe phobias of doctors and nurses now. Ugh.
Welcome, feel free to post, vent, cry, ask, whatever. We as a group have survived quite a lot, and we're here for each other:-)
But the nature and etceteras of the trauma are not generally so important in the peer support magics. Pain is pain and needs to be addressed and healed. The healing nature of mutual support is what counts here.
Hope you find healing companionship here. Welcome aboard.
