There was a fight in my hallway Monday. I helped break it up. In breaking it up, a kid grabbed at my throat, kicked me, and scratched my arm. On Monday, two teachers said they saw that.
Today I went to press charges. The cop said none of that did, except for maybe - MAYBE - the stuff with my arm, because the marks are still there. The teachers that 'saw' it happen - none of them were willing to testify in court that the kid grabbed my throat or even touched me at all. The cop advised me to NOT press charges against the student. They said they could easily prove it didn't happen. They almost called me a drama queen because I dropped after my knee got kicked.
This is why I never pressed charges against any of my assailants. There's no proof. Just words. The bruises fade, the redness fades to quick, the DNA evidence is swallowed... This is why I don't trust anybody anymore. People are supposed to have my back and they don't. No one does. No one cares.
There is not a single drop of justice in this world for people like me. I'm expendable. I don't matter. No one gives a damn. That is all that is ever hammered into my brain and that is all that is ever going to stay there.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I. Am. Not. Crazy.
I like to pick my battles small enough to win and big enough to matter. Once I do decide a battle is small enough to win and big enough to matter, I start thinking strategy. The judicial system seldom has the best strategies.
I guess I'm rambling here. . . I'm not sure where all that is headed. I mostly wanted to offer you empathy and healing hopes.
