FF w PTSD before MRI tomorrow

Arfie suggested that in addition to the abbreviation TW, we add more to label our posts as needed. One of those labels she suggested was FF, for "Feeling Fragile."
So I'm trying that one out because for me tonight's one of those nights. Tomorrow I have an MRI at the hospital in the morning. They're trying to find out more about my internal bleeding is coming from a cyst they found on my kidney via ultrasound..
Physical doctor appointments and being naked and handled in them take extra effort from me because they trigger my PTSD flashbacks.
Next I have a colonoscopy as another of their attempts to find out if the bleeding is from anywhere else. For someone who is here with PTSD because of multiple rapes, that is invasive and triggering.
I am reminding myself all of this is meant to help me. I live alone, so I go to these appointments alone. More doctor appointment are to come as they try to contain my chronic kidney disease symptoms. CKD is incurable, but the docs are trying to help. The first thing these docs did was find a way for me to handle PTSD symptoms without meds. I remind myself that that turned out great--I came here and have been here 2 years now!. :-)
The nerve damage to my legs has me walking with a cane, so today they've also set up a neurologist appointment for me.
Beginning tomorrow, I have a major physical doctor's appointment every week well into October.
So tonight I'm FF myself.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...

Gentle support through the trial, muji. Prayers in progress.
You are one strong person to get through all of this. Not only have you survived the trauma, but to be able to go to invasive dr visits is incredible. Wow. And all of this not on any meds.
Allow me to be your personal cheering squad!!!!!
YAY!!!!!

I got an itch on my nose, of course. That's always the deal when you're told not to move, isn't it?
The techs who gave the the MRI chatted with me for a long time about my death and dying class at the community college afterwards. Turns out one of them had taken it.
So that's one day, a few more doc visits to go. But that's it for this week, and your support got me through. I really thank those of you who told me even though I went alone, I wasn't alone. That you were with me. I take that stuff to heart, I really do. So thanks.
I'm a claustrophobe now b/c of MRIs--- bad experience---but yes, what is with the itch?! Aiee!
We're with you in heart and soul no matter what. So glad that your class was discussed:-) See what a difference you make! Awesome!
To a dr. On October 6 and I could not be more freaked out... But I will look to you and your cpurageous victory of your PTSD for the sake of the dr. Visit and I will be inspired to be strong like you my friend muji...!!!
Thanks so much for your thoughtful care concerning these appointments ahead of me. Let's get each other through these. I'll keep your Oct. 6 appointment in mind as you've kept mine and we'll both make it. Keep me posted, ok?
