ff - grief - covidic vs. non-covidic

the five members onboard my little ship of fools suffered the loss of mommy/daddy, dil/son shortly before corona crowned. the mandated isolation was devastating. boo hoo. poor little us. ^it^ weren't corona, so ^it^ didn't count. suck ^it^ up, patriot. the justing is not going well for us. just mask it all.
three years later i find myself feeling considerable grief over the people i have offended in their grief of covidic losses. at present i am simply maintaining safe social distances from such folk, but? ? ? should i seek the balance?
thoughts welcome. please be gentle. i am feeling very fragile this morning.
no advice, please.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
is it awful that the global rise of the "stay safe" repartee has me craving unnecessary risk every time i hear the platitude?
addendum
i think it's highly pertinent that we lost no loved ones to covid. just a few unloved family members who had dedicated an ungodly share of medical miracles on creating more misery for the folks around them. it was far easier to celebrate the end of suffering than the loss of life.
there could be considerable truth to the oft repeated claim that i might feel different if we had lost loved ones to covid. dunno. . . for now it is far easier to just maintain proper social distances.
holding steady so far. methinks this is **just** part of the covidically amplified grieving process.
Here with you amiga
Sending support & many many prayers for all
Gentle hug <3
dios concedeme la serenidad para aceptar las cosas que no puedo cambiar
valor para cambiar aquellas que puedo
y sabiduria para reconocer la diferencia
i seem to be holding steady on the grief processing. stepping small and praying big. grief is such a mysterious process.
i have been plying therapy tools to the ???comparing??? which i have fallen into over the course of forming this psycho snot knot. resisting the urge to compare war wounds has been a major part of my long recovery. every case is unique.
this morning finds me wondering if i am comparing wounds or being triggered by the mandated return of the masked social distances. is the oppressive silence of this ???post covid??? phase of the global shutdown triggering it feels an awful lot like the metaphorical masked social distances i experienced in the late 60's and early 70's when i first started trying to escape the world of child prostitution, etc. nobody's talking or even believing that there is really a problem. go away, you filthy creature. we don't care about your pain. just mask it all from a safe social distance, you filthy piece of white trash.
dunno. . . sorting. . .
thank you for the sort space.

hope healing happens here.

the greatest violence one soul can commit upon another is to disregard them altogether. ~anon
we humans are a violent species.
god pleas grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change.
for what it's worth
the mexican alanon network was passionately active before covid. ojala que se continuan.
my first clear recollection of "safety" came while i was working in construction and attending OSHA classes. i was a star pupil for a very long time but by the 90's OSHA regs had become as oppressive as any safety drive ever launched. rules are not a good substitute for common sense.
here in the covidic era, i have come to feel like "staying safe" equals trusting authorities/experts like mindless sheep. if uncle sam said it, it must be so. baaaaaaa. for all i can hear through the mask muffle, baaaaaaa is as good a guess as any.
no offense taken at the cleverly disguised shit. i find it quite ironic that the words on the "bad word" list are the most used words in any language. prohibition and censorship romanticize like romance novelists only wish they could. personally, i find the redundancy boring.
