I'm back to being unable to walk as I fell in the shower last night before bed and hurt my foot again. It's the fourth time this year that my feet have gotten hurt to the point that I can't walk.

My Chronic Kidney Disease since 2009 from too much Seroquel for PTSD nightmares from a bad doc has done such nerve damage to my legs that I can't towel myself off standing up any more. Friends of mine are buying me a plastic stool for me to sit on in the shower from now on, both when I'm under the water and afterwards when I'm toweling off.

Meanwhile, no walks for me and my lovely little dog. Sigh.

I hope you feel better soon & that your puppy can rest with you & give you cuddles until you get better. Sometimes my cat chills with me during my bad pain days, just having them around is nice

Thanks, y'all, and lilmiss it's so true that a furry friend to hold really helps with the palliative care way more than any pill would, at least for me. Thanks for your support.

SC, thanks for affirming that a shower chair's the solution to the problem. Duh. You would have thought I'd have one by now, but better late than never. They're out buying it for me right now as I write this. Gracias.

i've used a shower chair since before i started washing toddler hair in the shower. they are even more basic an amenity in my house than my porch patrol chair. you'll soon be wondering how you ever found comfort without one.

I'm so sorry Muji,
I've used a shower chair for 23 years since my back was broken... falling in the shower really stinks and it hurts... a lot

My shower chair's coming tomorrow, EMC2. Thanks for the encouragement about yours and how long it has served you well. I nursed my foot again today and didn't go out walking. I think it may be 100% again by Tuesday.

Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it. Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
