DS Meeting re making site like used to be
Yesterday was the first Daily Strength meeting for Community Leaders since I became one. I'm glad to say that attention was given to making the website more like it used to be. Here's what I wrote back to Daily Strength staff after the meeting:
"I'm OVERJOYED at the acknowledgment in the meeting of this: 'Ton of wasted space on the site...Used to be able to see 20 discussions on a page, now you can fit 3-4."
It really boosted group morale on DS PTSD to see 20 discussions on a page. It made us aware of what a supportive community we were. Only 3-4 discussions visible on a page has made us members feel isolated.
Bringing back 20 per page will make a big positive difference on DS PTSD."
Fingers crossed that they'll bring the 20 per page capacity we had at the old site back soon!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Sigh. . . Reckon I'll survive this one, too. Reckon I'll ever get to count on finding my tools where I left them? Not this week. Appy days are here again.
Harrumph.
So imagine my delight and my surprise when, lo and behold, it was included in the list of future fixes. I keep the bar set as low as possible for my expectations in the cyberworld. So this was an unexpected sign at the very least that we of DS PTSD have been heard. For me that surpasses all.
That 20 thread view I got from the moment I logged onto the old DS PTSD site was visually reassuring to me beyond words as to the kind of supportive community we are. The evidence lay there before us all every login. To me, personally, the sight of the big picture in 20 threads gave me hope against hope every time.
Now fingers crossed as to seeing the change mentioned at the DS meeting with CLs last Thursday come to pass.
