No me. But I am not sure that I would trust the VA with my PTSD treatment. The gov't is the one that gave me my PTSD, and I am willing to believe they can help. The VA clinic here in my city is something from a 1940's mental institution film. Patients on gurneys waiting in the hall-way, walls crumbling, lots of noise and filth.

Thank you. I am not a vet. I worked for the government for most of my career. My PTSD was triggered by the government. I worked in Emergency Response and some other operations. I still volunteer but have been on leave from my volunteer work to try to get my PTSD under control. I tried to forget my past life when I married my current husband and was successful for a long time. But in my last 5 years dealing with a hostile work environment it triggered my PTSD and everything came back to haunt me ...........child abuse, shooting, stabbing, and my death. The VA conducted the original study and offered this process. I was think about asking my doc about it.

I'd ask your doc. can't hurt to ask and get more info. For my PTSD the TDoc is using exposure theraphy which means we are talking this thing to death. Very painful.

My Tdoc is doing the same. It is very painful. My Pdoc is suggesting hospitalization or intensive outpatient therapy. Thank you and good luck.

I haven't heard of that one, Secouya. PTSD treatment is relatively new, so there are new ones coming up on a regular basis. It took me 12 years of weekly therapy to do that exposure therapy thing Thor mentions here, so just know it's ok not to jump on board with the latest until you're good and ready.

Exposure therapy did work for me but only when and if I was ready for it. PTSD comes to us in any of a million individual ways, so treatment for it can vary by individual, too. It only makes sense.
