i am on the last day of an 8 day stay in chicago. i miss my farm porch. i wish i had made the stay a few days shorter and am so exhausted that i find myself slipping into the "stinkin' thinkin'" which ushered me into psychotherapy more than half a century ago. the demon nipping my heels this morning is the quest for perfection as mandated by the royal we. you may all kneel and kiss my ring. don't let the "may" fool you into thinking the submission is optional. your royal majesty has spoken.
an exercise which seems to help me past this psychosis is, "define perfection." wanna play?
my current definition of perfection is a loving response to whatever life sends my way, including my own aches and flaws.
how do you define, "perfection?"

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I can't imagine how tired you must get at times Arf
I think you're amazing!
If I was to define perfection I just have to say that other than God there's no such thing
Big hug...I hope that you're sleeping in your own bed soon
Do the kids go and see their other grandparents for a while this summer?...xo
great definition of perfection. i often quip at the perfection seekers of the world that only god is perfect. another comeback is that perfection is a matter of opinion.
i don't know if the kids will see the maternal family this summer, or not. they carried head lice on their last visit and they freaked. i'm afraid to ask about the summer visit. the head lice infesting the 21st century schools are being called, "super lice" and i think that might be an understatement. schools are being able to choose between the evils of head lice versus the evils of uneducated children. myself, i took the only known cure and shaved my head. when my two girlie girls complain about the treatments, etc., my response is, "the cure is still available."
girls and their hair. . . explicame, por favor. then we get to the fake nails, face paint, etc., etc. it sure is complicated to be female in the glamour age.
yes, boys get head lice, too, but those long girlie locks are vermin catchers.
Hopefully that wouldn't happen again
I'm thinking of you getting some time to yourself to recoup for a bit??
