There is a motivational quote that inspires me: "It's not about surviving the storm but learning how to dance in the rain." ~ author unknown. This quote inspires me not to fight life. It's not about surviving life, rather it's about self love and compassion and accepting all that life has to offer. Navigating our path through life to the fullest. It gives me hope.

My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone.The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. I remember those words when I have to talk in therapy about ugly violence I survived as part of my PTSD recovery. Artigas was brave in standing by those words, because unlike Washington, things didn't work out for him. After winning Uruguay's independence as its revolutionary general like Washington did, instead of being rewarded with the presidency like Washington was, Artigas was betrayed and died in exile from the country. And yet he stuck by the truth and didn't fear nor offend.
Wow. Every time I go to therapy and dread coughing up the truth for treatment in my PTSD recovery, I try to be like him about it.
