Nature has a way of soothing us. The trees, the landscape, the birds and the animals is the natural world. What is the most beautiful place that you have ever been to? Can you envision it now? Does it have a calming effect? Remember when your feeling tense you can always go back to that place in your mind.
What comes to my mind is a wilderness area in Northern California. It's in the mountains. There is a big forest. You can see black bears and deer. There are mountain lions and foxes. There is a beautiful pond with multiple waterfalls and an area with big boulders and little ponds in between the boulders. You can hear the waterfall as it flows into the pond and the sound of birdsong. There wildflowers surrounding the pond and the cool water as it embraces you and at the same time the rays of sun as they shine down on you.

A stand of virgin forest back home. Trees so large in diameter that three adults can't encircle one, with hands linked, forming a "chain". A constant soft whisper in the branches high above. A shimmer of gold on a nearby valley's pasture. The forest floor thick with ferns and fallen giants covered in moss and hiding a hundred secrets. A stillness that has a *taste*. The purest air imaginable, almost dizzying.
Even the animals seem to be at peace.
