Thanks, everybody, for caring this week. I needed support this week and asked for it and got it. The semester started in August with a disruption in my teaching schedule that ended up with my teaching 12 hours every Tuesday, from 9 am to 9 pm.
Too much for my stamina with kidney disease and PTSD flashbacks at work that weaken me some by day's end in normal 8 hour workdays. Doing a 12 hour workday once a week was almost insurmountable.
This past week I barely made it through my next to last Tuesday of the semester. With only one Tuesday left to go, after this week's Tuesday I just didn't think I could do it, even just once more. After this week's Tuesday I was so tired I was dissociating in my PTSD, a symptom I really hate. I was afraid I couldn't take the Tuesday coming up. I was really at my breaking point, physical and mental stamina all gone.
Then I called for DS PTSD help here and I got a lot of good support here. Thanks for that, and please remember me this Tuesday as it comes up. With your support I think I can make it, and then never, ever do this schedule again.
Be well yourselves during the holiday season,
Muji

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I hope that you are adding some cinnamon to your diet, it help naturally process glucose, by leveling out impact on kidney, pancreas. Some easy ways are to shake a bit into the coffee grounds before you brew, or use a cinnamon stick as a coffee stirrer. Also get granulated Splenda, and add to that as a sweetener to oatmeal (another great thing for us diabetics, and lowers bad cholesterol) I have amp'd up my vitamins and minerals with Airbourne (even Generic) tablets made like a tea. There is a sugar content, but they are now making a low sugar one. These are usually used to boost your immune system when you are around carriers of viruses. Originally developed by a professor for classroom teaching and used in plane travel where toxic air is recirculated. But they have so many vitamins and minerals that are burned under stress too, can't hurt. Since the stress of PTSD is draining always on us. I do feel a difference on the weeks I use them...energy wise.
Anyway my heart as you finish out this run. I will be finished soon too. Next semester is better laid out for me. Also less of the distant satellite campus. I am not confident enough yet to do online classes, since this is as much for desensitizing me to larger groups of people too, as therapy.
Godspeed and strength to next Wednesday morn,
