years of deleted emails, deleted work files, emails I did not send but somehow were sent by 'me', contacts that send stuff then disappear. He had entered my house during a protection order and installed remote access. Went to police, called FBI, spent thousands of dollars reformatting, changing passwords. No validation from anyone. 'Can't prove it was him'. Remote access has his fricken name on it.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
You don't say who/what *he* is, but the harassment doesn't sound too covert to me. That is pretty blatant harassment. He just didn't get caught.
Gentle validation, Smi. I wanna sic my cyber-dogs on him. Arfity, arf, arf, arf. Gr-r-r-r. . .
As long as you believe you ... what others think does not matter as much.
There are weird things going on in the city I moved to. I trusted my judgment, got rid of criminal element in my building and limited my reliance on police who were often dismissive.
It's now coming out in local the news things similar to what I've been experiencing for years.
Were you able to disable the remote access?
Experienced something like it, on a smaller scale. On top of that, there was an electrical glitch that mimicked all the same symptoms. Phone company came out multiple times, chronic issues. Lasted for almost a year. Could've driven me around the bend, if I let it. Even got roped into online scam because I was so sick, stressed and confused. Stopped it in time.
Also, knew someone who went through a nasty divorce with a narcissist/sociopath. So worn down due to chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. She won in the end, because she knew she was doing it to save the sanity of her kids. It took a toll, but she persisted.
Just keep believing in yourself and know these things did and do happen.
There's someone name Bill Eddy who specializes in contentious, over-the-top divorces because it's things most lawyers can't even fathom until they've been burned themselves. High Conflict Institute.
It's a nightmare and support can help.
The 5 of us who were his victims were beyond middle aged by then, but we met and talked about it. We were all glad justice was served, and none of us was much concerned about how much was legal justice and how much was street justice. Live by the sword, die by the sword. He made his own karma, and died because of how he lived.
But we found that for us, "closure" was a myth. I don't know if that's because it always is a myth, or whether that's because justice came late after 40 years for us. In any case, we were glad he got what he deserved, both from the state in court and from his own kind in prison. It didn't heal us now, though. All 5 of us found that our healing was totally separate work from revenge and justice.
So we were thankful we were avenged and given justice. But our talking among ourselves as his survivors was the healing part. Which is why after learning to talk about it all with them, I came to survivors here to talk, too.
Welcome. Others may not be able to or may not want to, but we can validate what you're talking about because we've been through that kind of frustration ourselves. You're not alone.
