We deal with a lot of needs here, helping each other when we have flashbacks, flashes of anger, insomnia, and all manner of PTSD symptoms and issues. Every once in a while, I'd like to stop and compliment the people who make the support here possible. So here goes.
First off, I'd like to compiment the DS workers who keep this site going.
Then I'd like to compliment the regular rank and file peers here.
Compliments to those make it their business to welcome new people.
Compliments to those who suck it up and answer detailed posts in which people describe their very justifiably frightening episodes.
Compliments to those who just generally make this a place of healing.
It's pretty remarkable, honestly. Blessings, everybody.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Meant to be taken in jest, of course.
You're running with me
Don't touch the ground.
We're the restless hearted
Not the chained and bound.
The sky is burning
A sea of flame
Though your world is changing I will be the same.
This song has never made me think of a boyfriend or any romantic liaison.
It makes me think of people like us...that have gone through hell and back and have actually grown from it.....We do live and struggle with our symptoms of PTSD but we are not them......We are good people.
have not slept since Friday am. 7-10am. Its Sunday and I have not got
any sleep. I had a concussion I think Thurs. pm. -- my head has been injured hundred times. One to attempt suicide. Threw myself down a whole bunch of steps, concrete, landing on top of my skull. I hit hard.
My husband at the time always at bar. never home...came home to find me at the bottom of basement steps. Concrete. I was unconscious in and out. He didn't take me to the Hospital. Probably too drunk. EX- now. I sleepwalk at night. Don't want to go to my bed, sleep in it. -psychological reasons. I use to be standing in the kitchen and fall straight back land on my head, and body. My head
I believe, that I have damage to part of my brain. Even the doctors I
see, they all check my pupils if dilating or restricted.
Been in ambulance three times this last month and now recently. I
was "blacking out" --at McDs, Friday night, I was eating sandwich.
Then I blacked out after like two bites. I turned my car off to save gas. STUPID. ..so I was in my car blacked out. I had food in my throat. So I came to and was confused. But I knew what happened.
Kind of went into little panic attack. But was able to come out of it.
Funny thing, I was still holding onto my sandwich! weird. I was out about an hour I think. My car was freezing, and I was. Iced up on my windows. and windshield. So nobody knew I was in my car??
Thank you GOD,, Blessing me.
Everybody else is pretty awesome, though...
