Coming up on another DS PTSD birthday
mujicaptsd
Hey, everybody, I'm coming up on another DS PTSD birthday in the next couple of weeks, my second one. I couldn't wait to say how grateful I am to everybody here. You make this such a safe and healing place for me day after day.
Another school year ended for me teaching at the community college with my taking part in graduation Saturday. Then I just collapsed, dog tired from the kidney disease energy limitations. I'm seeing my doc next week because I've really been in pain the last few days, and I've slept half the day and all night every from Sunday until now.
Fatigue can lead to how I get cranky about how I got this kidney disease from being prescribed too many PTSD meds. I can get all caught up in not feeling my efforts are appreciated. I can get grumpy about the fact that my boss has asked me to move to another lesser office. I can get grumpy that a student complained about their B and wanted an A. I can get grumpy.
Then I stop and remember I had the job before this one for less than a year before my health crashed and that college let me go. I've had this current job at this college for 3 years now! Joining DS PTSD at the end of my 1st year on this job is a big reason why, in my book. You really do give daily strength--I'm living proof as a DS PTSD daily regular for 2 years now.
Thank you for two good years now. That's a lot for me. May your kindness and support be returned to you tenfold.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
When I signed on, I think I qualified my own as many of the same you have gone through in abstract. Just a few differences of some of the causes, but those were just facets of the whole in complications we fight. So your opinion was of value to me as you are. You had more understanding of what I needed for input to help figure out a path through this.
But as we know there is always individuality in each person here.
In my world I was grasping for a hand hold on a rock wall, you were there as one of the first I met, and friend-ed here.
But I want to add now that as this year has gone on, you are even better than before. What you share and support us with is more in-depth and personal. You yourself have become even warmer as person, where before you were still withholding parts, holding in emotions and reactionary responses. Many answers now I see as sage advice in this battle
I know how hard that is, to be that vulnerable. But knowing that by doing it, you help others see that the pain can be faced and dealt with. These types have led to some awesome topic shares, comments, that shed light for us here. You also help make this page the help it is to us.
Congrats on sticking it out here my amigo, you have helped me and so many more here with your aggressive battle with PTSD, to seek out answers and sharing of those "ha!" moments. They help us see the fight is worth it.
Healing happens...and I believe it's happening with you, ...
because of that I may also find it.
Sorry so long,
Hugs J.
You're a rock in the storm for so many of us, Muji, I am so glad to see you here daily. I feel so much less alone in this just seeing you've replied to threads.
Blessings on you and to all others here on DS PTSD for taking me in when so many others would not.
You got me checking my dates and... Arfie is my second DS handle. Not sure how long I kept the first one.
I began conceptualizing the likes of DS over point-to-point circuits which the Army had hanging on from WWII technology. I was "Pizza Face." I will spare you the ancient history lecture. My tech review of the actual development often feels a bit like Einstein's review of his "cheap, clean energy" exploding over Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Sorry. Still calming my obsessive state.
Congratulations, Muji. Truly, you are in inspiration, even for this burned out, cynical old war horse.
((hugs)) shared:-)
