Week one in my new place is done. So far so good.
The job hunt is ... Well ... It is a job hunt. We don't get to know how it is going until it is over. The anxiety attacks continue plaguing me, but I am taking them one attack at a time.
My own anxiety attacks carry a physical component which radiates from that space where the rib cage forms an arc over the abdominal cavity. The sensation is like an electrical pulse which can radiate to every inch of my body and can be quite debilitating. For most of my life I have called this spot, "The Solar Plexus." Recent web surfs have given me the name, "Celiac Plexus." The information I have found is way beyond my current understanding, but seems significant enough to pursue. More hunch than knowledge...
Anybody have any insights?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Hope the job hunt takes a good turn thatll help, too.

I've had that particular type of anxiety attack. Mine radiate outward almost like waves of electric shocks, and I alternate between chills and sweats. Was sure I must be sick, but a tranquillizer knocked it right out.
Job hunting in our society seems designed to demoralize - no one LIKES job hunting. One trick I learned long ago was to always keep multiple applications in the works - it diffuses the emotional power that any one possibility can exert over me. Even after a great interview I would just return to my routine of hunting for leads and assembling documents, and avoid the wishing/hoping routine about any one position.
All things considered, it sounds like you are doing well so far.
Knock on wood.
The scientific study of this incredibly complex nerve center seems to be even more confused than neurology and psychology...
Just hoping for insights.
Somethings are better left to the realm of the pragmatic.
The chakra meditations are among the most effective meditations I have found. I still think they have physical elements worthy of study. I love science.
I was writing tongue in cheek about inhibiting my own spiritual perspectives in my last reply . I view DS PTSD as a board for posting opinions about the topic at hand and personally refrain from any sort of religious discussion on line.
Yer so funny...but I believe it.
