Can't stop reading into what people say.

I am seriously having a tough time reading into what everyone is saying. It is often triggered by anxiety, but since my suspiciousness of people has come about because of my PTSD symptoms, I am not sure how to stop it.
There are days where I think people just don't like me and they talk about me behind my back. This is from being bullied in my last job when my PTSD symptoms reached maximum capacity.
I pick up on body language a lot. And while it may not be directed towards me I can feel the energy of others and its awful.
I am crying right now because I just want to feel okay and safe in this world. Not to feel I am wrong. I'm so sick of analyzing what people say and think. It's hypervigilance with social interactions.
I sincerely need a hug. I just want to be held today. I feel so broken right now.
Earlier today, everything was fine. I was put on light duty at work because I hurt my hip flexor in a longboarding accident. Like I was having a good weekend, and its finally just crashing and burning. My car has broken down again. I already spent 1000 dollars on breaks. It took most of my savings. It's getting older. I will have to take the spark plugs out to check and see if there is an oil leak, or a fuel injector problem. If it's either of those, I'll have to take it to a professional mechanic.
Everything is falling apart. I usually love diagnosing and fixing problems. Today, I just simply feel like falling apart and not caring.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

in my own case, i believe that continual reading into other people's words and actions is part of my hypervigilance. my over-developed survival instincts are convinced that i need to be able to read minds and predict the future in order to be prepared. now, if only nature had given me soothsayer talents by which to read minds and predict the future. . . those pesky details. . .
but that is me and every case is unique.

1. Take criticism without feeling defensive. I remember he bought a vacation house, people stayed and rather than comment on how they liked it, several had criticism. Rather than getting upset, he considered the observations and made the place better. He is not the brightest, grades were decent not outstanding, test scores good but not incredible, but he takes feedback, both positive and negative, better than anyone I know.
2. Listen if someone has a comment, even negative, listen and absorb. I have a family member who works for me, reasonably good, but it is incredibly annoying that when I made a comment to her, her first reaction is to explain why any problem is not her fault, instead of simply listening.
3. Dress while and smile. When you see people smile and greet them by name. Show that your happy to see them and that they are a big deal.
4. Politics Don't get involved in office or other politics, stay friendly with people, don't nurse grudges, and just go on.
The problem, of course, was that from overuse it got hard wired into my developing brain. When I hate that I try to remember it served its purpose back in the day and that's why I'm here now alive to be bothered by it. Gratitude helps me put up with it.
So sorry about how the car expenses wiped out your savings like it did all at once. That sucks. Maintaining a car was always a drag on my income, too. Now that I'm retired I don't have a car any more at all.
Sending you support for all of this today, pineappleSun.
Yes, arfie, it is the hyper-vigilance of needing to be prepared. I'm kinda laughing about what I experienced yesterday, because I know people at my job like me, I am not a problem child, but because of past experiences my brain picks up on what I experienced in the past such as body language. So its an instant trigger for the anxiety and hyper-vigilance.
