It got a little better, sleeping. I thought I was on the way back to healing. I was wrong. No matter how tired I am, I doze off, then wake up with voices screaming at me (years after I left the abusive situations), flashbacks, etc. Then I'm wide awake. I tried cognitive therapy a couple of years ago, it didn't help but I think that was because the therapist... well, I got to know more about her (her divorce, her grown daughter's college degree and career etc) than she about me. I've tried going back to gardening but have very little stamina or strength probably because I'm exhausted, I tried making mayonnaise tonight and listening to music I like... And now I'm here.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...

I still haven't found a one-fix solution for my PTSD symptoms. I take them one symptom, one episode at a time using an arsenal of tools and techniques. Leaning on my peer supporter, such as the ones right here in this forum, is among my most effective tools. There are allot of great techniques under continual discussion here.
Welcome to DS. Hope you find healing companionship here.
